Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew are sent to the planet Romulus, where a new leader, Shinzon, wishes to make peace with the Federation. But Picard discovers Shinzon plans to destroy the Enterprise with his powerful craft the Scimitar and then advance on a defenceless Earth. Picard must use all his cunning to outwit his adversary, but Shinzon is a younger clone of Picard and can anticipate all of his tactics.
