Comedian Chris Rock narrates this sitcom based on his early life in Brooklyn. After listening to some of his parents' old comedy albums, Chris tries out some jokes on his classmates and discovers that making people laugh is the key to popularity. Rochelle tries to find her mother a man, and Drew gets unwanted attention from a girl in the neighbourhood.
