The first ever programme to be transmitted on Channel 4 has reached a truly momentous milestone; Countdown, the nation's favourite words and numbers game celebrates its 25th anniversary on Friday 2nd November with a one-off birthday special. Presented by Des O'Connor and Carol Vorderman, the programme features a host of birthday surprises including birthday wishes from celebrity fans including Terry Wogan, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Patrick Moore, Lord Richard Attenborough and some familiar faces from the nation's favourite soap operas.
