Radio 3 in Concert: Schmidt Symphony No 3

The BBC National Orchestra of Wales and conductor Jonathan Berman present three different perspectives of Austria-Hungary - Kurt Schwertsik, Ernst von Dohnányi and Franz Schmidt. The three composers were born less than 40 miles apart and all have fiercely nationalistic voices, yet all have strikingly different musical identities.
