Radio 3 in Concert: Saved from the Titanic

Coleridge-Taylor wrote his Violin Concerto in 1912 for an American soloist, sending the completed score off on the on the Titanic. The material never arrived, of course, and he had to hastily rewrite the piece from memory. Tonight, New Generation Artist Elena Urioste performs the piece with the Chineke!
