There's an A-list apocalypse afoot in this riotous, selfreferential comedy. Hollywood's finest are enjoying a hedonistic party at James Franco's mansion, but it's kind of a buzz-kill when an apparent earthquake sucks most of the revellers into fiery pits below the Earth. With LA ablaze, Franco, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, Seth Rogen and Seth's Hollywood-hating friend Jay Baruchel hole up in the house and wait for somebody to come to their rescue. Only, it isn't an earthquake that's struck, it's the apocalypse, and even the rich and famous aren't safe.
A non-stop parade of celebs line up to poke fun at themselves in a gag-packed comedy that lets you hang out with a bunch of famous friends, who just happen to be facing the end of the world. While the likes of Franco, Rogen and Hill famously go way back, lending an air of authenticity to proceedings, there's the added bonus of appearances from Emma Watson, Michael Cera, Rihanna, Paul Rudd, Channing Tatum and more to add a shiny Hollywood gloss.
Nothing's off the table joke-wise, with drug-taking, bodily fluids and gore galore the main sources of humour, as well as winks to star self-importance and some of the less illustrious moments in the cast's careers.
