Jonathan Liebesman's gore-ridden prequel to the classic horror film explains why Thomas Hewitt, aka Leatherface, became one of America's worst serial killers. Born in a slaughterhouse and left an orphan, he is taken under the wing of psychotic Sherriff Hoyt, who developed a taste for human flesh in Korea. After they've killed Hoyt's superior, the pair set off on a murderous spree, pursuing two young soldiers and their girlfriends who have most definitely taken the wrong turning.
