Although not as good as the TV series, this big screen adaptation takes its viewers into a feature length world of the Borrowers.

Borrowers are 4 inch tall people whom live amongst us, under floorboards, in the garden shed, in clocks and more. They survive by 'borrowing' the stuff they need from the world above.

In this story the borrowers in question are the Clocks. There is the father, Pod Clock (Jim Broadbent) and his wife Homily (Celia Irvine) and their two children, Arietty (Flora Newbiggin) & Peagreen (Tom Felton). The family live quite happily within the house of the normal-sized family, the Lender's.

However, their peaceful co-existence is disturbed when evil lawyer Ocious P. Potter (John Goodman) steals the will granting title to the house, which he plans to demolish in order to build apartments

Now that the Lenders are forced to move, the Clocks face the risk of being exposed to the normal-sized world.

Now the Clock's must do all they can to save their home and accept help from the son of house owner, Pete (Bradley Pierce).

A wonderful and fun family movie which will warm the cockles of your soul.
