This fast-moving crime thriller with comic overtones stars Samuel L. Jackson (pictured, left) as Elmo McElroy, an American master chemist who makes a fortune with illegal drugs such as the potent Formula 51. But instead of selling it to his drug-lord employer The Lizard (Meat Loaf), McElroy flies to Liverpool where Felix DeSouza (Robert Carlyle, pictured, right) is acting as broker for gangster Leopold Durant (Ricky Tomlinson).

Comicially things don't go according to plan. McElroy finds himself stuck in Liverpool, mixed up in a series of double dealings and unlikely situations.
