James Gunn's directorial debut is an enjoyable splatter/ monster/ horror movie which begins when a courting couple, seeking privacy in the woods near small town Wheelsy, come across a just-landed meteorite.
In no time at all, he's transformed into a toothy squid-like killing creature, while she becomes the breeder of deadly bloodthirsty slugs. Dry-witted police chief Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion) is soon on the case, but his problems are compounded when the victims of the slugs start coming back to life as slaves of the aliens.
Slither is a Film programme that first aired in 2006 and has been classified a 15 certificate.
