When a New York casting director spots Sharpay Evans performing with her dog Boi at a charity gala, he offers to arrange an audition for a new Broadway musical. Sharpay packs her bags and she and Boi head for the Big Apple. Her father has given her one month to make it on Broadway, or she must return home. It's a great opportunity, but Sharpay's dreams are turned upside down when she discovers the role is really for Boi. Forgetting her own disappointment, she sets out to make Boi the most famous canine on Broadway.
