Animated comedy about a fast-talking fish who gains fame after taking credit for the accidental death of a shark mobster. Though he enjoys the popularity at first, his tall tale starts to unravel as others begin to suspect that he is not the Defender of the Reef after all. And when the shark's enemies get involved, his lies lead him into dangerous waters.

Despite being nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film, Shark Tale received mixed reviews upon its release and never really feels on a par with other DreamWorks movies such as Shrek or Kung Fu Panda, perhaps reflected in the decent, though not outstanding box office revenue that it generated.

However, despite it's obvious flaws this is still an enjoyable family comedy, helped by the all star voice cast and high quality animation that you would expect from a DreamWorks production.
