Sequel to the 1995 action hit Bad Boys, directed by blockbuster king Michael Bay of Armageddon and Transformers fame, and starring superstars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as tough, trash-talking Miami narcotics cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.
The two unlikely partners team up once again, this time to go after a drug kingpin whose operation is flooding the streets of Miami with large amounts of ecstasy. The man behind the smuggling operation is Cuban drug kingpin Hector Juan Carlos 'Johnny' Tapia (Jordi Mollà), whose countless run-ins with the police have left him nearly untouchable.
Things get complicated when Marcus' sister Syd (Gabrielle Union), an undercover cop for the DEA who is in a relationship with Mike, gets caught in the crossfire and is kidnapped by Tapia, who takes her to his vast mansion in Cuba. With time to act running out fast and no official help available, Mike and Marcus can see only one way to rescue Syd and end Tapia's reign of terror once and for all... leading to an explosive showdown in the barrios of Cuba.
