Kaye Wragg joins the cast as PC Diane Noble, who makes a good start with the Sun Hill team when she and Smithy arrest a key figure in the crack house raid. Gina is less than impressed with Heaton's heavy-handed tactics, which leave an elderly witness fighting for her life. Sam suffers a miscarriage and realises from Stuart's reaction that he isn't ready for a long-term commitment
