The Bill: Bust

Having discovered Irene Radford is back, Gina is determined to put her old enemy behind bars once and for all - and the two are soon face to face again when an intruder at the Radford house turns out to be Irene herself, who claims she has returned because she is critically ill with cancer. However, the police have got wind that she is plotting one final raid before retiring from a life of crime for good, so Phil is tasked to monitor a prison meeting between Irene and her son David, where the top brass are hoping he'll glean valuable information about the job. Unfortunately, the philandering DS is easily distracted by an old flame working at the prison and misses half the conversation - so when the raid gets under way, it soon becomes clear they've been duped, and a senior officer ends up staring down the barrel of Irene's gun. Back at the station, Honey is upset to learn that Amber has taken the `shy and sensitive" Steve Hunter's virginity, while Sam seems to be warming to Phil. Is romance on the cards for Sun Hill's detective sergeants? Roberta Taylor and Lynda Bellingham star
