Drama. Morse and Lewis uncover a web of secrecy, corruption and murder among the colleges of Oxford. Nicholas Quinn is found murdered after overhearing a conversation which wasn't supposed to involve him. His colleagues, all members of Oxford University's examinations board, are under suspicion, but one thing is still puzzling Morse - how did Quinn overhear a conversation when he was stone deaf? With John Thaw, Kevin Whately, Barbara Flynn, Michael Gough, Clive Swift, Frederick Treves.
