Lesser Spotted Ulster: Ramelton

Series 1, episode 0

Joe Mahon returns with another quirky travel series in which he explores the beautiful - but often overlooked - nooks and crannies of the Ulster countryside and exchanges banter with the local citizenry. This week Joe visits the picturesque village of Ramelton in County Donegal, known for its 19th century waterfront that has provided a backdrop to many a period drama. Joe discovers a surprisingly cosmopolitan population, including an American local historian, a South African 'town druid', a German woodcarver and an association with a famous Kiwi Rugby star.
