Lesser Spotted Ulster: Carrowmenagh

Joe Mahon returns with another quirky travel series in which he explores the beautiful, but often overlooked, nooks and crannies of the Ulster countryside and exchanges banter with the local citizenry. This week Joe visits Carrowmenagh in Co. Donegal on the Inishowen peninsula, where he is regaled with tales of the enormously rich lore, from mystery ship-wrecks to lyrically-named coves. In between being instructed on the art of stone wall-building Inishowen style, conversation ranges from turf-stacks to Marilyn Monroe.
