Lesser Spotted Ulster: Ballykelly Part 2

Joe Mahon returns with the quirky travel series in which he explores the beautiful - but often overlooked - nooks and crannies of the Ulster countryside, and exchanges banter with the local citizenry. This week Joe is still in Ballykelly, County Derry, this time visiting the 'sloblands', an area of reclaimed land perfect for all manner of activities from searching for shells among the crops, to ploughing competitions, and even operating a Shackleton airfield. Joe finds out about some famous aviators who took off from here, including a man better known for his tractors, and one very brave pigeon.
