Lesser Spotted Ulster: Ballycarry

Joe Mahon explores the beautiful, but often overlooked, nooks and crannies of the Northern Ireland countryside, and exchanges banter with local folk. This week, he visits Ballycarry, on the shores of Lower Larne Lough where he learns the history of townland names, discovers a range of old clay pipes and finds himself on rather a sticky wicket regarding the secret recipe for locally-produced fudge.
