Lesser Spotted Ulster: Arney

Quirky travel series exploring the beautiful nooks and crannies of the Ulster countryside. This time, Joe Mahon is among the 'battles, bricks and bridges' of the Arney River in County Fermanagh. Local people, archaeologists and master brickmakers have been busy over the last few months unearthing the past of this remarkable area, which once was home to a unique cottage industry. Joe has a go at learning the traditional art that the area was known for, as well as investigating the evidence left behind by an ancient battle.
