Dara and Ed's Great Big Adventure: Costa Rica to Panama

Comedians Ed Byrne and Dara O Briain embark on a 4,000-mile Pan-American adventure. In the final episode, Dara and Ed travel south through the mountains of Costa Rica to Panama. They visit the El Camino ranch before visiting the Centro de Rescate Las Pumas animal rehabilitation centre, where they meet orphaned anteaters and jaguars whose territories have been disrupted by the building of the road. Travelling on south, Dara and Ed continue to San Jose, before driving over the famous Cerro de la Muerte - the Mountain of Death. It takes almost 20 hours to get across the border from Costa Rica to Panama, as Dara and Ed get caught up in a tangle of bureaucracy. Once through, they drive on through former banana plantations to the capital, Panama City, and the famous canal. On the way, they stop to visit the Embera-Wounann tribe in a village only accessible by river, before travelling on to the last town on the highway and the end of their journey - Yaviza. episode 3
