Julie, our driver in Bangkok, Thailand, is one of the city's first female taxi drivers. She's street-wise, and knows all the tricks. Her hot-line to the radio station helps her avoid most jams-but when the city is grid-locked it's a good thing that Bangkok is a city of canals. There are so many that it has been called "the Venice of the East." And Julie knows them all. What better way to avoid rush-hour gridlock than to take to a short-cut on a long-tailed boat?
