David Jessel talks to Professor Larry Diamond, a specialist on democratic development and regime change, and on how US foreign policy affects democracy abroad. He went to Iraq after the war believing that democracy was attainable but now says that the US failed to get it right and even warned that Iraq risked becoming 'Lebanon on steroids'.
