The Open Gaz De France-Suez is returning this year once again in Paris on 7-15 February 2009. The Stade Pierre de Coubertin offers a perfect venue for this Premier tournament played on indoor hard surface. This year's edition is more ambitious as the prize fund has increased up to $700,000 instead of the usual $600,000. In addition, seeded players, who usually started the competition in the 2nd round, will this year start playing in the 1st round.
