The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour comes to California on 21-27 July for the 2008 East West Bank Classic. Now in its 39th year, this Tier II tournament is the longest running women-only event in the world and marks round 2 of the US Open series. Since 2004, the tournament has been held on the Campus of California State University in Carson, just outside Los Angeles. Players this year will be competing for US$ 600,000.
