Like Totmianina / Marinin in Pairs, Tatiana Navka / Roman Kostomarov (Russia) were great champions, winning Olympic Games, World and European Championships but they retired after the Olympics. The couple who has taken the relay at the top of the rankings is Albena Denkova / Maxim Staviski (Bulgaria). The Bulgarians were World Champions in 2006 and won the Grand Prix Final. They should be the major favourites.
