The Men's event will feature Evgeni Plushenko (Russia) as the top favourite. He won three World Championships (2001, 2003 and 2004) and four European Championships (2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005) and will be the man to beat. His main rivals will be Stéphane Lambiel (Switzerland, 2005 World Champion) and Brian Joubert (France, 2004 European Champion). Stefan Lindemann (Germany, bronze medallist at the 2005 European Championships) will also deserve to be watched out.
