Athletics: Iaaf Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe

The fifth IAAF Indoor Meeting of the season The BW-Bank Meeting 2006 takes place in the Europahalle, Karlsruhe on the 29th January 2006. Widely considered to rank amongst the top events on the IAAF calendar, since its conception in the autumn of 1983 over 90,000 spectators have witnessed 2929 athletes from 77 nations take to the floor. Amongst them are such BW-Bank Meeting record holders as Haile Gebrselassie (Ethiopia - 3,000m, 1998), Sergei Bubka (Ukraine - Pole Vault, 1991), Allen Johnson (USA - 60m Hurdles, 1995) and Heike Drechsler (Germany - Long Jump, 1994).
