The Monkees

This musical television comedy series debuted on the American network, NBC in 1966. It later went on to win two Emmys. Also the four lead actors popularity could only be mirrored by Beatlemania at the time.

The shows basic premise was four typical young men living, on their own, in a beach house in Malibu, California.

Collectively, these men (Micky Dolenz, David Jones, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork) were a band, not superstars, just a band, called "The Monkees".

Even though they were not rolling in money, each day would be an adventure, from working in an answering service on the side to foiling the plans of the evil Wizard Glick.
