The Hecks have their electricity switched off for failing to pay a bill on time, forcing Frankie and Mike to cut down on family expenses - including cable TV. The children take up other activities to fill the void, but their parents struggle to occupy themselves, while Brick and his friends have to spend a school break outside when the library closes
