Rhona (2000)

This sitcom follows the life of Rhona (Rhona Cameron), a frustrated film-director who is currently working as a critic, and her friends Lisa (Mel Giedroye) and Geoff (Dave Lamb).

Rhona is a young, but rather neurotic, woman who lives and works in London. She is a film director by trade but is currently working as a critic which causes alot of frustration on her part and she spends the majority of her spare time with her friends, Lisa and Geoff.

Lisa is the eternal optimist who is battling with having to pay back her student loans (we know how that feels). She is currently being councilled over her phobia regarding commitment, but her therapist, Doug, soon catches her eye, but will he live to regret it?

Geoff, on the other hand, is the all-round nice guy but seems to have no luck what-so-ever in the area of love. Unfortunately he tends to be rather gullible and falls head over heels in love with any girl he dates and allows them to walk all over him. However he does tend to be manipulated by Lisa and Rhona and gullibly believes all the advice they give him, be it good or tongue in cheek.

Other characters include Ally Elvis (Vicki Pepperdine), Geoff's working colleague from the Cinema Cafe bar, and Rhona's long-suffering mum (Janet Brown) who is constantly handing out advice to her daughter on the phone, whether Rhona wants it or not.
