This bold, bawdy and brash sitcom hit British screens in 1969. The comedy centred around a bus depot and the working-class family of one of the drivers, Stan Butler, played by Reg Varney. Other characters included his lecherous conductor Jack (Bob Grant), Inspector Blakey (Stephen Lewis), Stan's sister Olive (Anna Karen), her layabout husband Arthur (Michael Robbins), plus Mum (Doris Hare). The show ran for 74 episodes from 1969 to 1973, and included three spin-off films.
