Rick Spleen's back - and as he will tell you, he's on the way up, his career is going from strength to strength and he's never been so popular. In other words, he's still the same old self-deluded liar, making a reasonable living from corporate gigs, appearing on low-rent chat shows and hoping for his big break. Rick gets caught speeding, and not for the first time. Three more points on his licence will take him close to a ban, so he tries to persuade first Mel, then Marty and Madga, into saying they were driving his car. Meanwhile, local caf owner Michael manages to railroad Rick into doing a fund-raiser to save their local library from closure. On top of all this, his daughter Sam has decided to get a tattoo.
