Horizon: The Atkins Diet

An investigation into the popular yet controversial Atkins diet, which claims that replacing carbohydrates with a high protein and often high fat intake can make you thin. Renee Zellweger, Geri Halliwell and a host of other celebrities swear by it, but many scientists think it is dangerous nonsense. Horizon's report seems to show that the diet may indeed work, but for a reason that even Dr Atkins himself had not seriously considered.
