Documentary series. Dr Jason Payne-James investigates the events leading up to the premature deaths of celebrities with the aid of the autopsy report. Jimi Hendrix was one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and the highest paid performer at Woodstock. But at the height of his fame, he was found dead in his London flat on 18th September 1970. The media were quick to blame his rock-star lifestyle, but while the cause of death was quickly established, the coroner lacked sufficient evidence of the circumstances and returned an open verdict.
