Seasons in DetailTagsLinksEarth 2 (1995)Earth 2 takes place about 200 year in the future. Earth has become over-populated, and little of its natural resources remain. The majority of the population has taken salvage on the space stations, enormous stations orbiting Earth and other planets in our solar system. People had thrived on the space stations for six generations, until some of the children were being born with the Syndrome, a disease that is believed to be caused by the absence of Earth. It was estimated that the entire human race could become extinct within two generations. Devon Adair, whose son Ulysses was born with the Syndrome, uses her wealth and political influence on the stations to fund the Eden Project. This project's sole purpose is to find a better home for humanity, where Ulysses and other Syndrome children can start over. That better home is Planet G-889, a very earth-like planet located 22 light-years from Earth. Upon their hasty arrival on the planet, they find themselves thousands of kilometers from their planned destination of New Pacifica. After taking a vote, the group's only mission now is to reach New Pacifica within enough time to set up a colony for the Syndrome children on their way. As they make their way across the planet, they encounter many unexpected things, including the Terrians, Grendlers, and Kobas, the only native species so far introduced; various penal colonists, which before were unknown to Devon and the rest; and even a cyborg killer.
