Helen Mark meets members of the Wasdale Mountain Rescue team and the Langdale Ambleside team in the Langdale Valley, whose resources are being stretched by an increase in call-outs. They wonder whether the sight of stunning scenery shared on social media is drawing in more visitors, who may not be prepared for the challenging terrain and bad weather. With this in mind, mountain rescue teams, with the help of mountaineer Alan Hinkes, are asking hikers and climbers to make sure they have the right knowledge, equipment and conditions to make the most of these dramatic landscapes
