Helen Mark discovers how a local community trust is preserving the history of Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, in the west of Scotland, with plans to develop it tourist potential. She meets a former keeper of the lighthouse, which is now operated remotely, as well as the trust manager, who explain how visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery, tour the small museum and take shelter in the tearoom, although for many the biggest attraction is the giant red foghorn, which hasn't sounded for years
