Bill Gates is interviewed for Desert Island Discs and tells presenter Kirsty Young which eight tracks, which book and which luxury he'd want to take with him if he were to be a castaway on a desert island. He recalls his childhood and how his parents influenced him, how he first sat at a computer terminal in his early teens in the late 1960s, about the early days of Microsoft and about his philanthropic work today. He also recalls his relationship with Apple founder, the late Steve Jobs.
