Great Lives: Stella Rimington on Dorothy L Sayers

Series 34, episode 7

Crime writer and former director of MI5 Stella Rimington joins Matthew Parris to nominate fellow author Dorothy L Sayers for recognition. Perhaps best known as the creative mind behind aristocratic sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey, Sayers' contributions to the golden age of crime fiction made her a household name. She later turned her attention to writing theological essays and plays, including a controversial radio drama based on the life of Christ. Rimington celebrates the author's life, with contributions by Seona Ford, chairman of the Dorothy L Sayers Society. First aired in 2014
