Architectural historian Jonathan Foyle scales Britain's most renowned structures to tell the story of how constructions have changed over a period of 1,000 years, beginning with Durham Cathedral - one of the finest surviving examples of Norman architecture in the UK. He encounters the crumbling millennium-old stone with oyster shells hiding in the mortar, discovers carved stone arches and braves a tightrope nearly 100 feet above the nave. He is aided on his travels by Lucy Creamer, one of the country's top climbers
