American Experience: Geronimo: We Shall Remain

Documentary series portraying the history of Native Americans. After his tribe was relocated to an Arizona reservation in 1872, the Chiricahua Apache medicine man Geronimo confounded his enemies and divided opinion among his fellow Apaches with his insistent pursuit of military resistance, often in the face of overhelming odds. Eventually the Chiricahua were the last of the tribes to capitulate to the US government although Geronimo himself regretted this decision until his death in 1909.
