This epic - and lengthy - biopic of the western lawman Wyatt Earp stars Kevin Costner (pictured) in the title role. The film traces Earp's life from an early age to the battle with his brothers and Doc Holliday (Dennis Quaid) against the dreaded Clanton and McLaury gangs.
After the death of his wife from typhoid, the young Earp descends into drinking and petty crime until his father Nicholas (Gene Hackman) sobers him up and sets him on the road to becoming a respected sheriff in Dodge City and Tombstone where he faces his greatest battle.
