David Attwood's film follows the outrageous adventures of a Pakistani country-and-western band in Southall. Lurching from crisis to crisis, the Honky Tonk Cowboys look for their big break; their own community think they're a disgrace but their music isn't just an attempt to shock, it's all they have in a country that grinds down the spirit. Together, they race against time before conventional society shoots down their dreams.
