In an attempt to teach his son Sajid (Aqib Khan) some respect, Salford chip shop owner George (Om Puri) takes the tearaway teen to his homeland of Pakistan.
Lodging with George's first wife Basheera (Ila Arun), whom he abandoned 30 years earlier, they must contend with the extended Khan clan, including George's eldest son Maneer (Emil Marwa), who is desperately seeking a bride. When George's current wife Ella (Linda Bassett) travels over, further complicating the family dynamic, the belligerent bully is finally forced to confront the mistakes of his past.
Set five years on from the BAFTA-winning East is East, this sequel is another crowd-pleasing comedy, lifted by some top performances.
