When ex-President Monroe Cole retires to a small town, the locals invite him to run for mayor. Plumber 'Handy' Harrison is planning to run too. Cole persuades Harrison to stand down, but when the statesman starts to romance Handy's girlfriend, the plumber re-enters the race.
