Comedy in which an inept Mexican general, with the aid of a specially recruited army, recaptures the Alamo in 1969, but inevitably faces opposition from the Texans, who take umbrage at this invasion of sacred ground. When the invaders refuse to give up their land, the National Guard is called in, and chaos reigns both inside and outside the walls. Upon its release, this film was surprisingly banned in Mexico.
