This thriller has all the feelings of a Quentin Tarantino film with plenty of expended bullets, but from the directorship of Christopher McQuarrie.
Longbaugh (Benicio Del Toro) and Parker (Ryan Philippe) are two low life criminals destined for a life of petty crime or low income earnings. The two, not happy with this prospect, decide they must go in search of their fortune now and live a life of luxury.
This leads Longbaugh and Parker to their 'brilliant' plan to get their easy fortuine. They will kidnap Robin and demand the ransom from the couple for whom she is having a child. Their thinking in this plan is that they will exchange the baby for the ransom money and keep hold of Robin for security until they are home free.
What makes this film is that Christopher MacQuarrie, impressively directs for the first time from his own script, and takes familiar elements, tired cliches, and breaths new, inventive life into them.
