War-time action film. The captain of a German merchant ship caught in Australian waters at the outbreak of the war is determined to get home but pursued by the British Navy, he sets sail despite being short of food and fuel. Also on board is Elsa Keller, Wayne's ex-flame and possibly a Nazi spy, who was engaged to Commander Jeff Napier, who just happens to be in charge of the pursuing destroyer.
